The Elpis Letters: A Collective

Write a letter. Try to cope. Pen the truth. Hold on to hope.

The Elpis Letters collects the confessions of self-identifying women, trans, and non-binary writers from around the world.

Once upon a different myth, a multitude of evils were unleashed from Pandora’s box. There wasn’t time to think about when or if, only now. Hope was left behind. Her name was Elpis.

Just like then, we will always find hope.

Telling stories, admitting our wishes and faults, our secrets and scars, connects each of us in ways we’ll never be able to explain.

This collection features letters to different iterations of self, both younger and older. Letters to mothers and sisters and friends. Letters to bullies, attackers, and misogynists. Letters to glitter and wildfire and moonless nights. Letters to morning coffee thoughts never shared before. Letters to whomever, whenever, and wherever these writers may be.
